KATE ARMSTRONG

Kate Armstrong has worked in private practice for over 25 years, formerly working along with Castlereagh Physiotherapy. She loves treating musculoskeletal & sports injuries & people with complex spinal/pelvic/hip pain.  Kate is passionate about using evidence-based practice, manual therapy (including dry needling) and exercise therapy help her patients achieve their goals. She attends regular courses and conferences to stay abreast of the latest research.  Kate has trained in the ISM/Thoracic ring approach to scan the whole body to identify the areas contributing to pain, dysfunction and reduced performance. She has training in Visceral Manipulation to treat MSK issues that do not respond to traditional physio techniques. Kate is accredited by LaTrobe Uni to teach the GLA:D® program for hip and knee arthritis and she recently completed the Stott Pilates Reformer training.

Kate is a mother of two and enjoys treating pregnant/postnatal women to help them with common pregnancy related issues such as pelvic girdle/neck/shoulder pain, carpal tunnel and mastitis. Kate has completed the Level 1 APA Women’s Health Through the Life Stages and Women’s Pelvic Health courses and continues to develop her interest in this area with a mentoring program.  In her spare time Kate is involved with her local soccer club as Director of Competitions for the Junior Girls League and has been involved in developing injury prevention programs for the players.
